“Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your breakers and billows have swept over me. The Lord will send his faithful love by day; his song will be with me in the night – a prayer to the God of my life.” (Psalms 42:7-8)

Your hand reaches for me

as deep calls to deep.

You’re there – in front of me, beside me, behind me

In me

The inner voice rumbles giving way to the fear rising

Hope disappaiting.

But, then a roar breaks –

Darkness ceases. The light shines through. 

My name. I hear my name. Your voice – a cool breeze in the garden’s night.

“Do not fear. 

Come, my daughter. Come.

Free from nakedness are you. Free from the bondage of youth and its wretched ignorance.

Salvation has matured you. Grown you in splendor, beauty, and dignity. 

It’s clothed you in white. Now, pure in my sight – pure by my Son. 

Come.

Toward.

Me. 

Forward. 

Free are my arms . . . Free is my peace . . . Freedom is my love.

We are one – always. Hearts magnetically connected in Spirit and Truth. 

We are one and… two. 

Don’t fear. 

I call you toward… 

and toward is exactly what’s best for you. 

Today. In this hour. In this moment. 

Toward is good enough for me. It’s the beginning of your walk back home to eternity.”
